PostSubject: Tournament/ point system input   Sun Feb 12, 2012 1:12 pm

Ok i am going to post what we have this far in general chat because i want feedback and and input of suggestions from any and all units.

The idea here is that Any and all realism's will gain points for every enlisted player. All that is needed is for someone to do an AAR for each team to keep track. My suggestion is that everyone keeps track of there points for every round and report to the designated AAR keeper, I'm sure the competition will keep people honest as others will be watching in spec, and console will prove the facts.

Weapon Kills*
This is a list of points that will be awarded for every kill regardless of a victory.

1st and 2nd rifles, SNIPER/No scope, lights and heavies, and MG/rambo, 1 pts
Pistol and Zook - 2 pts
knife / any melee - 3 pts and -1 pts from the person shanked

Granade kill/kills per single grenade*
1 kill - 1 pts
2 kill - 2+1=3 pts
3 kill - 3+2=5 pts
4 kill - 4+3=7 pts
Ive never seen more then 4 killed with one grenade unless its a wall/line kill so.....

Victory scoring*
Half or less team win
= 2pts points to surviving members
Say its a 5v5 and your team wins with 2 survivors, that is less then half.
Say its a 4v4 and your team wins with 2 survivors, that is half.

Clutch = x2 points per kill an additional 2pts if your health is less then 10
Let me clear this up a bit. OK, a clutch is when you are the last player alive on your team and you have more then 2 on the opposing team so that would be 1vs3 or more not 1vs2 or 1v1. Every kill that you make once you are the last player on your team is then worth the x2 pts that means if you kill the remaining 3 players all with a knife then you would have (3+3+3)x2 is 18 or if you grande kill them all with one nade is only 16 pts. Now it gets better too. If you have 10 health or less at the end of a clutch then you also receive +2 bonus points.

Participation*
Play 1 round = 1pts
For every round that you participate in for a maximum of 5 points with AVA unless there is a DQ then in that case if you are on the team that didn't DQ you get the point for that round also, so there is a possibility for more then 5 pts just for playing.

Dead players of winning team = 1pts each for helping, baiting, etc...

Leading a realism = 1 pts per realism not per round

Doing the AAR = 1 pts per realism not per round

Deductions*
DQ - -10 points to member who DQ'd. In the event Only the other team keeps points made that round.
The Person who DQ's gets no points for that round but every one else that made any kills gets there points and points for participation of the round EXCEPT THE PERSON WHO DQ'S
TK - -2 points to Killer. grande TK only counts as 1 kill regardless of total killed by said grenade

Cheeting - If you are caught cheating your scores, a demerit can be posted and you WILL LOSE ALL YOUR POINTS FOR THAT MONTH. if it is sever enough we might consider, in court, if you are going to be kicked out of the unit. Now if its a misunderstanding and you just didn't understand then nothing would happen, we will help you fix your score and have a great time.

Any and all members of any and all units can participate NO PUBBERS , you must have tags to play. This will help us grow more ppl into the units and get some healthy competition going to get ppl interested.
The more you play the more points you get.

For now this is as a tournament basis. The trial run will start next week once everyone has had the chance to put there input in this thread. Then after a few runs we will start tracking points on the forums so everyone knows there status. Once a month, at every monthly meeting the winners will be announced and awards and achievements will be handed out. This includes medals, ribbons, and such. You can only get ribbons and medals in official's, however we are working on a set of achievements that will be created from your scores or epic stuff that happens in game. YOU CAN ONLY GET YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS/AWARDS IF YOU COME TO THE MEETING. The points will be reset for the new month so we can keep track of what to hand out but the total score will be shown with the total realism's played. this way we know how activity reflects against your score. In essence you can divide your total score by your total realism's played and get your average and that will also be posted.

Made them aware to come here if they want a quicker response, since I don't think I'd be checking their forum often. They should be coming around. :b

Perhaps, the problem is the same with no scope, cant show in console. but i think that its a good idea. that is something that i think you guys need to decide, perhaps a vote.

I think the "half or less" bonus needs to go.

I don't really see the significance in rewarding extra points because your team has less than half the other team. Makes no sense. Plus you're adding even more bonus to the clutch win by doing that. If anything, you should get a +1 bonus if NOBODY on your team dies and you roll the other team.

The kills should be the most significant part of the overall score. The bonus should be only a small boost to that.

I get 5 rifle kills, I get 5 points.

This guy gets 3 kills, but got a double nade and a rifle shot, and it was a clutch 3v1 win.

So I get 10 points at the end of the realism.
He gets 21? That's a little bit too much in bonuses. Plus it's getting way too hard to follow.

Also the -10 for a DQ is way too harsh. That could be as many points as someone gets in a night, and it might not even be his fault.

OK first of all, just calculate that. and then pretend you're doing the AAR and gotta keep track of that for 12 people and 5 rounds. I do NOT envy anyone that needs to post an AAR for something like this...

I think the person doing the AAR should get an extra 5% of the total points awarded or something like that. If you gotta figure out 300 realism points between 10 people, should you get 15 for posting that AAR? Probably, because it's going to take you awhile, and you gotta focus the whole realism and take notes the whole time. Nobody's ever going to want to lead. Plus how do you even play in the realism when you gotta focus on all this stuff?

My biggest recommendation to the whole thing is try not to over think all this extra stuff. Ideally just start with 1 point per kill, and 1 point for participation per round, and see how that works. If we need to add bonuses later, then awesome. But I think if you do a 6v6 as it is now, the team leader is going to be in way over his head trying to keep track of this stuff.

Ok i crossed some stuff off, and changed the DQ penalty this way everyone still gets points but not the person who makes the DQ.

Its simple stuff and clutches rarly happen and im sure that its not going to happen all the time and for a normal realism i think that its not complicated. the only way to know is to try.

I also changed the points for the nade kills so its a bit better.

Looking better.

We should solidify a rule about DQ's for how to end it.

I think if someone DQ's, call the DQ and finish it out. If you called a DQ and were wrong, YOU get the DQ. In other words, ask before flagging it.

I think if someone gets killed by someone committing a DQ, they should get to respawn and join back in and finish the round. I don't think anyone should have to sit out a round because they were killed by someone breaking the rules.

i agree, So for a DQ, DONT CALL IT unless your 100% sure by checking with others. otherwise you get the no points for that round,

So if there is a DQ, then we finish the round and re-spawn the dead player/players and finish the game. the penalty for dq the3n falls on the player that farked up instead.
I like this as opposed to the way we treat a dq currently.

See Attached.

One page for each round. Can hold 15 per page.

We can either scan them and send to an email after or I can create some sort of database entry system online for all members. This way we can have multiple people do an realism AAR for accuracy?

Let me know.

I like the idea, but again, it's getting too complicated.

The logistics of printing and scanning these every night... I don't even have a printer haha.

Maybe come up with a nice .txt form where we can do the same thing, but copy and paste the restulting form into the AAR?

Having a standard form is a good idea, just need to make it simple and easy to write up and port into the AAR.
